You should make those with the GT3 embroideredin the seat- there are twice as many GT3s as RS's maybe 3 times the number. With many being tracked. Those RS seats are beautiful but the market with greater numbers brings greater returns. A standard silver yellow and Red would be all you have to make
probably with maybe one other color, bright blue (not many of those) or white (gets dirty)
Just an opinion. A good number of RS owners have also bought the Euro GT3 seats removing them from the seat market.
Great seats though.

The Porsche European 997 GT3 carbon seats weigh 24.5lbs each. Are they 15lbs a piece with or without rails?

What's the weight on the US spec seats?

GT3 seats

I beieve the standard sport adaptive GT3 seats weigh 51.5 lbs a piece. I am not sure though.. This is based on Suncoast Parts and Accessories (e-partssales.com) sales pitch.

They claim 53lbs of savings with the Euro carbon 997 GT3 seats that weigh 25lbs a piece.

The Euro 997 GT3 seats are light and beautiful. No deviated stitching though, and $11K is difficult to justify..

I would be interested in the orange stitched seats, but as has been said here, without the RS - to me, that would be funky in my orange GT3.

Yes, I agree. 11K is a lot of money to shave off 50 pounds. Those seats used to be 9.9K at Suncoast 2 months ago.The price should be around 5K.

Yeah, when we put up the 997 GT3 seats for $9.9k a couple months ago, it wasn't until we ordered our first set that we realized Porsche was sending the shells without $1000 worth of necessary parts anymore.

Still beats the $18k they were going for about 6 months back

I didn't know it was going for that much 6 months ago. Why is it such a big difference in price? I bought the RS tail from you guys last month but at one point it was selling close to 10K. These prices make you wonder sometimes.

15lbs w/o rails.. so with the aluminum sidemounts, Recaro sliders, and 997 bracket, it would weigh roughly 23lbs

I've come to the conclusion that I will never understand Porsche's pricing, haha.

And Speedware, I did mean to say earlier that those are absolutely sick seats. When I saw this thread I had to bring everyone over to drool at them.

Do you know if these seats are FIA or TUV approved?

they are not FIA approved, it would have been very expensive to get them FIA tested. I don't think they are TUV approved but i'll have to check on that.
