They look GREAT in your 3. I only drive to Mexico once a week, so maybe I will be able to endure the PITA of entry/exit. I did order the extended seat belt receptor (comes from Porsche for the Euro seats). Hopefully this will help too. I will spill the beans once I get them in!

My DTM's are in!

Okay, here's the report from the guinnea pig...

Seats are amazing. Quality is first class. Hardware and mounting sucked. The fit in the car is very tight, but it does work. Let's face it, for only $6K having to rework the mounting kit is to be expected... Overall, I am digging the kit so far. I was able to defeat the seat belt warning light, but of course I have the idiot light airbag yet to deal with. The seats weighed 14 pounds each (incredible), with mounting hardware - 24. Net savings of 72 pounds!

They are super comfortable, very firm, no movement, perfect support. White stitching, Alcatera seat and up to mid back, the rest is black leather, and carbon fiber. No issues with the seats, but the mounting hardware is a bit of a goat rope - pieced together from various suppliers and not well thought out.

Zulu,

Did you get the new mounting hardware that allows the seat to be installed lower? Is that side mount from Brey-Krause?

Did you also get the extended seat belt receptor?

Once the installation is finished, are there any problem using the sliders, or keeping the seat in place?

Thanks.

Will these fit in a 996 GT3? Is there a sub-bar already?

When you guys say they are hard to install, can you provide more info?

TIA
