SharkWerks GT3RS Featured in Sept'08 Excellence

Hey folks, just a heads-up for you to check out Excellence's September 2008 cover story, as it features a comparison between the new 997 GT2 and the 997 GT3RS. The editors chose to use SharkWerks' 3.8-powered Kermit to represent the NA team in the road test.

There's a preview of the article here.
The cover has a red GT2 smack in the middle so you can't miss it:

Great article, though I feel they played down the capabilities of the RS. I'm in love with mine, so maybe I'm biased

I had a lot of fun jumping in and out of both cars that day Kirby (who took the shots) said the RS was more "fun" and I'm with you, I'm a die-hard RS guy too. The way it revs, feels etc... it's harsher which I like. The cool thing about it was if you look back to last year's article on a press-car GT3RS, Pete didn't actually like it all that much a year earlier and at least he seemed to like it a helluva lot more after driving ours. We really drove the piss out of both cars that day and put some 650 miles on!

Special thanks to Kirby for those shots! Couldn't think of anyone else to be the "official" RS photographer!

Got a copy last week. Great article.
I was surprise by the comments, he didn't really like the 997 GT3/RS since their test drive last year. He said even the 996 GT3 is more fun! The 997 lost some of its appeal and wasn't focus enough compare to the older version.
However they did like Alex's car with the tasteful modification done to it, specially the proper alignment which seam to be a problem with the 997 GT3.

Very nice shots BTW. Beautiful pictures!

Man, that was a long and fun day.

The one thing I loved the most that day....The exhaust note from Sharky's 997GT3RS...it sounded so sweeeeeeeeet!

Here's the cover shot
