Factory short shifter for the 997 GT3/RS?

My dealership says there is a factory short shift kit for the 997 GT3 for $450.

I was under the impression that a short shifter was standard on the GT3's. They say it's solid and fast, and insist they have installed the kit on another GT3. It will be here tomorrow, so we'll see..

Any insight?

They do make one, and its almost exactly like the B&M in notchy feel and shortness.

The GT3 shifter is already fairly short and heavy. Personally, I wouldn't want it shorter/heavier.

Good luck, let us know how it is.

The shifts are significantly faster! I'd definitely recommend it to track guys and anybody else who enjoys ripping through the gears.

It is short and notchy, but not in a bad way. Smooth shifts are still possible. Your footwork has to be fast though.
