Newbie? Are GT3(RS) Rear Fenders Like a C2S or C4S?

This is the dumb question of the day, and yes I did try to search for the answer.

Do the 997GT3's and GT3RS's have the same rear fenders as the Carrera 2S or are they wider like on the Carrera 4S?

Thanks, sorry to be such an ignorant newbie.

GT3 narrow body like 2S.
GT3RS wide body like the 4S but unlike the all wheel drive of the 4S, the RS is rear wheel drive only.

Thank you!!

I kept looking at all these pics online, and just couldn't figure it out. Now I know why.

44mm = 1.73" actually - still not a large number, but it sure does seem to make a difference in that attractive rear stance one way or another!

i thought it was 72.9" for the RS and 71" for the GT3. so that would make it 1.9" = 48.26mm.

The 0.2" difference you're seeing appears to be a rounding choice between Porsche's conversions on the width of the GT3 and RS in some tech spec tables.

The GT3 is listed as 1,808mm wide (or 71.18"), but they only present it as 71", whereas the GT3 RS is 1,852mm wide (or 72.91"), and in that case they say 72.9". So, assuming that the metric mm values are more accurate, the difference in width is 44mm (or 1.73").

Of course the exciting news here is that if you're a GT3 owner who thought your rear body work was "only" 71 inches wide, you just gained nearly 0.2" in width!
