Porsche unveils facelifted 911 GT3

the center-lock wheels are trick, but the wheel itself is ugly IMHO.
really, the front, the rear, are all better-looking on the 997 version. i absolutely love the 997gt3 wing. the new one is a bit too 996gt3 for my taste.
I think i'm going to get the 997 gt3 instead. in orange or in white.

Here's the 997.2 S (3.8L) Engine block diagram for comparison
I can't tell!?!?!
They appear different, but the perspective views of the engines are different.

A step forward in engineering and a step backward in styling IMHO
I seen the new 997 1/2 and not a fan of the front bumper. The central air vent looked like Mick Jagger's lips (or a cat fish's lips) which sticks out too much. The two light fixture on top of the side air vents faces forward and does not conform to the curve of the bumper which detract from the natural line
Wheels, rear wing and bumper ..... not a fan of the style

is there a way - i'm sure one will be available, maybe even a direct option, and i wouldn't be surprised if they can be swapped with a 997.1 hub.
central lock looks cool, saves weight and time, but is going to make wheel upgrades a *****.

Many sources:
Porsche’s fuel injected flat-six engine family codenamed M97, members of which still power the current 911 Turbo, GT2 and GT3, will be retired later this year when the German automaker replaces it with a new, direct-injection A91 family. The first versions of the new A91 powerplant were unveiled recently in the 2009 Porsche 911 and 911 S...

A great upgrade all around. Wish PDK was an option but I can live without. The only real miss in my view is no DFI. Best of all....wait for it...wait... There is a sunroof delete option for the US! I guess Porsche NA finally got the message
