I appreciate your responses and sponsorship of this site, but you stated in an earlier post that you had to buy the MA Shaw wing with the decklid. On the Getty site, they show the wing separate and capable of bolting on to the existing decklid. Per Getty, the wing is a direct bolt-on item. Can you sell the wing separate, and is it a direct bolt-on, without modification part? We have nothing against you or your business, we are just trying to find the most cost efficient and effective means of installing a Carbon RS wing. Mine will be for track, so I have purchased the OEM RS wing. But for those who are not going to track, and just going for aesthetics, cost and appearance are the primary factors.

Speedyellow4, I got my wing on last weekend and it looks awesome. A very easy install, and I'm not technical (hence the name). I'm getting the shims so that I can adjust the wing for particular tracks. I do notice some extra down force at higher speeds, but the shims will really squat it down at the track. My wheels will be powder coated and ready for install on Tuesday. It looks like a total car makeover. Now all I need are some tasteful graphics. If I ever figure out how to upload pics, I'll do so.

I had powder coated track wheels also. They looked great, but a lot of people recommend against doing that. It's possible that you could get a crack in a rim and not see it underneath the powder coating. That happens sometimes. Here's a catastrophic failure from a track day I was at:
Is that a OEM turbo twist or is that an aftermarket wheel?
Powder coating is a process that requires the parts be baked at about 400F for 30 mins or so. That can mess with some brands of wheels. Add on the fact powder can hide cracks and I'll never use it on a wheel. Paint or anodizing for me.
No accident involved. You see the inner lip is bent in one spot (2 o'clock in the photo). I'm no engineer, but I bet the two are related. If he bent it like that on the track, the added stress on the other part of the rim may have caused the crack to start. I've seen other wheels get cracks at the track, but nothing like that. Cracks usually show up on the spokes and that's what gets powder coated.
