I thought at one time we would see an 8 when they went H2O. Wouldn't be any heavier for sure. Two banks of 4 may be just to long to hang out the back.

According to Alois Ruf who knows a thing or two about Porsche engines, the maximum displacement on the flat-6 is about 4.0L, so we're reaching the displacement limit.

One thing to note, however, is that once they figure out DFI with a 4.0L motor, there is still some more power you can pull out of these things.
