Everything is relative. You try to pay a fair price for anything you buy (market rate adjustment...). Buy what you want. My first porsche is a 08 GT3, it was a great deal. The 2010 would have a $140K MSRP. I couldn't justify the $50K plus delta if I didn't like it. However, now I probably go for the latest and greatest and try to make my best deal. As many have said either .1 or.2 GT3 is a great car.

Well, I had high hopes that I'd settle on a well cared for 2007 GT3 at a great price. I've found a couple -- prices range from $86K to $90K.
Then my darn incremental rationalization brain kicks and I've been browsing 2010's just to see what sort of discount off MSRP I could find. Today I found one with all of the options I like, with a $123K MSRP, being "let go" for $116,970. I'm pretty sure I could get them down to $115,970 if I agree to sign papers today. So $8K off MSRP in my book is a good deal.
So now I'm caught between, say, a $90K 2007 GT3, or a $116K 2010. It's less about the absolute money and more about the price/benefit ratio.
Hmmmm.
I say get the 07' and used the saved money to have Sharkywerks build you their new engine , wicked n/a power
Then why "cherry pick" a car that you are going to own for less than one year? Just buy a decent one and get it out of your system.
Bcuz:
1) I want something with the best resell potential in its model
2) Acquisition price is paramount given how frequently I buy/sell cars
3) The chase of a great value is fun -- it's too easy to just cut a check

RocC4S,
Don't you know he is the infamous TAYLORCOLEMAN that is rank top 200 in the Forbe most wealthy american? He has so much money invested which he could care less about investing this money but buying exotics.
This is the most perfect RS4 I have ever seen due to it's exclusiveness (Viper Green!!!). This is the perfect car for you if you wish to spend 100k and the perfect MTM supercharge project!!
If you can afford the new one get one. It is a better car.
Are you kidding!! He can afford anything but it needs to be within his budget! Do you know any Enzo for half a million which Taylorcoleman would be interested?

Just kidding! Good luck with your hunt!
Lol. A clean ppi and same day wire on a 500k Enzo would be divine.
