Don,
Your "exotics" purchasing is better than "KATE & JOHN GOSSELIN" drama!!! Let's put an end to it and get yourself a Superleggera! Or get that 2010 GT3 to get it out of your system then go with the Superleggera in time for your winter driving 2 months down the road.

All--I think 2010 it is. Possible I'll just wait till spring until more used 2010's surface. Certainly I'll jump on the right one, right away.

@ SuperlegerraGT3 -- I'll have to seriously consider a Gallardo.

I knew that was coming - good show

I'm actually quite relieved. It's now down to a 2010 gt3 or an 06/07 Gallardo.

Don,

Why stop at 06/06 Gallardo when you can have 08 Superleggera with warranty then twin turbo charge it? Life is too short! Let me help you with your decision!

Of the ~20 cars I've purchased, I've only once paid an admin fee ($600 for my first car -- a 1999 BMW M3). Since then, I've always declined those fees and they've always been waived.

So, I gave them the option of waiving the fee -- and they chose not to waive it.

As I've said before, I'm looking for the best value out there -- and am in no hurry, though I'd prefer to have one sooner than later.

Onward (to possibly a new 2010)
I am right there with you! When ever I am negotiating, I tell the seller that I am talking about a bottom line deal, that includes all the "extra" fees except for taxes. I would have walked away from the deal as well.

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock....

About 2 hours ago I put in a counter offer on a brand new, 2010 GT3 -- nearly fully loaded, including PCCBs. I have confirmaton they received my offer and are going to the owner with it.

I'm ready to roll if they are...

What a suspense...

Can't believe you left a almost done deal for 499$. That's about what I spend in fuel for a 3 days weekend of lapping ! 0.5% of your deal...

Looking for value is fine but updating this tread continuously with no end is a torture

That's it Don! You need to call G to get this G! 100K off of MSRP you can't go wrong with that. Come on! Look at the fit and finish in that spyder!! You have gotten my wife's approval! She thought the following Gallardo looks like a Bat mobile in a very good way. Talk to G!! He is the best personal to work with as I have a few friends that have gotten some amazing deals from him. Let me know if you want to know more about the car. Plus you are not gonna go wrong with buying stuff from board sponsor. I look forward seeing you in the Lamborghini and on the race track.

LOL. Well, you can't please everyone, but I do presume you're joking about being tortured

Yes, I'm very financially and economically oriented on certain things. That other deal was at my "reservation price", so I was at walk-away for a penny more than what I ageed. I walked away.

IMHO, having a walk-away price is important. Many times before I've purchased cars with 80% emotion and 20% common financial sense -- meaning: I paid too much.

One can squander lots of money if one thinks of money in relative terms (e.g., how much is $400 compared to the price of the car, or worse...how much is $400 compared to one's net worth). I subscribe to "money has an absolute value -- a $1 is a $1.

That's just me. I have friends with even greater car ADD than I (and an even greater toy car budget) who are even more frugal. On the other hand, I have friends who just pay MSRP, or close to asking price and don't care. To each is own.

I'm hoping this thread offers some value to shoppers who may not have considered being more vigilant with their searches from both a car health perspective (for used cars) and from a deal-health perspective.

AGREEEEEDDD!

I know what I want, and what I want to pay for it! I'll take it right now, wire transfer, check, cash....whatever, as long as it is within the price I originally planned. I walk away once it exceeds that price. This might be the reason why I wait and wait, pass and pass... because it always takes a long time for me to find the RIGHT car, and takes even LONGER to find one at the RIGHT price.

it's your money, you decide on how you want to spend it. There are tones of opportunities/options out there... keep up the good work

sprinty_rs4 is on a distinguished road
I don't see the logic. You know every car is ordered. With a resale car the options you want and the options you get are few and far between. I paid 60% of MSRP for a 2008 GT3 with 7K miles. Who cares! I got the options I wanted and bought some I didn't want. It was a car that had what I wanted, in immaculate condition, all 0s on the DME, minor warranty issues (Cup Holder) and a fair price. You shouldn't be looking at overpriced cars and trying to make a deal. Well priced cars sell, and the seller is motivated. IMHO you are wasting your time.
