GT3 ordering for 2010

I am just starting to learn about GT3s.

Can you still order a 2010 GT3? Have all allocations to dealers been dealt out?

What is the usual order cycle?

I understand GT3 don't come out every year. Is their any indication from Porsche about the next production run? In other words, when will we know if 2011s will be produced?

Agreed with avi8tir. I understand some prefer to order the car to spec exactly as they want it, and are willing to pay close to MSRP for that -- plus, the wait. This is perhaps the way to go if you are planning to keep your GT3 for a long time.

I've contacted dozens of dealers nationally and there are enough well equipped GT3 -- and those that are very lightly optioned -- for you to likely find something that you love. You should be able to get 5% off MSRP, so simply walk (literally or virtually) if they don't meet that.

First, for example, give autotrader a try and see if something strikes you. If not, by all means, put your order in ASAP

Good advice guys. Yes, there are plenty at the dealers (outside of CO) I have been monitoring.

I am still in the deciding stage, in no hurry and if I do order it, want to make it exact for me. I love my 997S, but probably should have just waited and jumped for the GT3 this year.

I just don't want to go down the mod this and mod that route on my car (although my friends keep reminding me that would be less expensive, which is true).

So you are telling me there are plenty on the floors and plenty that can be ordered. I guess the economy will keep the buyers down a bit.

FYI...I just flew back from S. California yesterday where I went to look at the 4 2010 GT3's they had on the showroom at Walters Porsche in Riverside, CA. One black, carrera white, meteor grey metallic and guards red. I want to spec mine out so I am waiting for now, but I went down to see the 2010 in person. WOW...great looking car.

The meteor grey metallic looked awesome. I liked the contrast between the black front spoiler lip and black screens with the meteor grey. I was drawn to the meteor grey as the GT3's sat next to each other on the lot.

No doubt - Meteor Grey is hot!

My top 3 color choices (in order of preference) are:
1) carrara white
2) guards red
3) meteor grey
