I got a PM asking about the air box... before it left for its new owner we put on a 997 GT3RS K&N kit which from what he told me was pretty easy to install and looks the business...

Wow! That airbox from the 997 GT3 RS looks great. Is it a direct bolt-in replacement that fits on the 996 GT3?
Any noticable difference in sound and/or power or feel ?
Any indication on what it costs?

^ it is designed for 997.1 RS but my tech said it was easy to adapt
my previous air box was modified and k&n was not an improvment over the modded airbox, but my modded airbox looked horrible and I sold the car and put this on to clean up the look
it is about $300 including filter
it is actually a pretty nice kit
