I just got a quote from Nationwide Insurance and the rate is better than my current Insurance company, Progressive. Has anyone here deal with Nationwide? How was you claim experience with them?

Check State Farm also, they have been good to me and insure more cars than anyone. Ask and most body shops will tell you they are the best to work with.
^^^Thanks!
I am waiting for some more quotes from my insurance broker. I heard from a local body shop that Fireman's Fund and Ameriprise usually don't have problem with when filing claims.

I had Nationwide for 26 years and they were a solid auto/home insurance company - moved to MA where they don't underwrite and switched to Amica .. no problems so far.
I have had State Farm for 13 years, and I love them. I have had my car hit and run on, keyed, wrecked, and hit by someone with no insurance; they paid for everything right there, no BS tons of paperwork or anything. All that was taken out was my current deductible. They are cheaper and more reliable than others, (I switched a couple of times bc I was a poor Marine) but you definitely get what you pay for.

Progressive is bad on insurance claims, usually insisting on junk yard parts for repairs. The body shop I deal with won't take claims from them.
Allstate is just as bad. Back in the 90's, there used to be shops that posted signs in their windows saying that "Allstate Estimates Will Not Be Honored Here". Anyone ever been to AllStateSucks.com ?

I posted in another thread but allstate wanted 5k every 6mo to insure me on a 996TT 5 times more than my current company. Save money my ass.
