Thinking of a Gallardo

I've been a Porsche guy for ever. How reliable are the Gallardos? Thinking of a daily driver because I love to drive my cars. Anyone put any serious miles on their car and have there been any issues? Will probably drive it 15K miles per year.
Thanks much
Jim

Gallardos are extremely reliable. I do recommend 06 and up. I put over 1k miles a month on mine. ZERO issues. couldn't be happier!

*NOT AN OWNER

but an avid enthusiast and have heard little to no complaints of reliability from the modern (murci and gallardo) lambos. Minor defects pop up from time to time such as leaking rear view mirrior, leaking lift system but that's as far as i've heard it go. The regular clutch wear and other major maintenance issues depend on driver as usual but the consensus was that they are BULLETPROOF!

Had my Gallardo for 3 months now. 04 Gallardo 6 speed with 23K miles. So far I have put about 1500 miles on it. The previous owner had no problems with it. Its a Great car. I still have my Porsche and love them both.

i researched into this and the responses gathered is pretty consistent with everyone's input here.

with these cars, there will be issues even when new so get a warranty. a super low mileage out or warranty scares me. that just means that issues havent been fixed yet and buyer pay premium for that.

i am shopping for 06-08 G. ideally, 09 LP560 is the best. 3 yr warranty + performance better than a SL.

Same good reliability here but I don't drive mine that often.
The Only negative I find is that it make's your Porsche look
a little boring in comparison.
Like most have replied, get the newest model you can afford
and you'll definitely be happy!

Have an 06 since Feb of this year; put 2.5K, rode up from LA to Monterrey for Car Week; flawless so far.

he may actually mean the mirror. that happened in my 996. it's the anti-glare liquid in there that can get messed up. Hasn't happened in my G, but my 01TT for sure did it.

My G has been outstanding. It is in-fact daily driveable based on the car itself, but I gotta say I think that really depends on where you live as to whether you can or will actually want to drive it every day. I find that here in CO it attracts about 10bazillion times more attention than my 996 attracted...and that has it's negative points...not enough to make me not want the car, but close.
