2004 Lambo Dilemma...
What would you choose and why?
1. Silver 2004 Gallardo with unique interior (tan/sea blue), 10k miles, E-gear. $85k
2. Orange 2004 Gallardo with black interior (orange stitching), 20k miles 6spd. $93k
Silver one has clutch changed at 7500 miles,
orange one was just at Lambo dealership for its annual check up (2 weeks ago).

It really depends on how the car was driven, hill driving, parking lot driving +etc.
I have seen 20k miles on stock e-gear clutch and have seen 2k miles story too.
Lets focus on the topic here!

Thats not true at all>> I personally owned a 04 egear gallardo.. Yes you will need to change the clutch at about 7-10k miles (if it has not been done already) but after that the dealer will update your egear software and your good to go

Honestly.....NEITHER
egear - no good, not to mention that interior is FUGLY
Orange - too many miles IMO

I hate how people come out bagging the tranny..and probably have no idea about it
Please be more educated on e-gear..

Just curious...do you own a Gallardo? Or are you talking out of your ***? I happen to have researched this for 8 months prior to buying the 6-speed car I currently have. I stand by the fact that I would NEVER EVER buy an 04 e-gear car. The oldest e-gear I would buy is the 08 which went through some serious changes. And if modding is your thing (going twin turbo like I am doing), then the 08 and newer cars are the only ones with an e-gear system worth a lick. Now, what were you saying?

So what you're saying is that you are a typical internet sensation that tries to put ppl down on a car forum rather than trying to understand what they are saying?
No, the 04 and 06 are NOT the same....then again, the 08 and 06 are not the same either. When I posted egear - no good I was specifically referring to the 04 model car the O/P asked about. And still, I stand by the fact that if you plan on egear the 08 and newer is best and if you plan on putting any power to the car then 08 is a must.

Make sure you are provided with maintenance records (oil canges, diff/trans, etc), and check the AC functioning (blowing cold air or not) and ask about if the cutch has been replaced or not. If not, you can easily check clutch life by putting the car on a hoist and having a mechanic looking at it.
If all checks out, and being a Peark Orange car (most desired color) then even at 90K it is a good deal.
