Price check - 2009 LP560
Hi Guys,
was wondering what the price range for an 2009 560 E-gear with 18,000 miles would be? What to watch out for etc
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Peter

To give you an idea, I traded my 2009 LP560 in about 4 months ago with less than 1000 miles and only go $160k for it. Hope that helps.

i think this car will retail about $155-160k in US with $3-5k in wiggle room. Trade in value would probably be $135-140k.
In Feb, I saw a demo 09 LP560 with only a few thousand miles for $180k. Market has come up in used cars lately.
Be very careful about buying such a high mileage car. People that drive these many miles just don't care about the car. They will drive it in auto mode, rash the wheels and scrape the nose. These are the type of people that just don't care because it's a lease and they will trade it in in 2-3 years for a new one. If any part of the car looks in bad shape, i would stay away.
Look at service and warranty records too. I bet it was in the shop a few times for egear and a few wear and tear issues.

just curious, but how is it harmful to drive in auto mode?

with these ***** clutches, you can't drive it in auto mode because the shifts are too smooth, and it lets the clutch slip too much.
most owners prefer to drive it in manual mode, so they can adjust how hard and fast the computer changes the gear, in turn reducing clutch slip/wear.
They owner changes settings so the gear change in manual mode is quick and hard, with limited slippage.

Hi there, if you don't mind me asking, what made you trade in the 560 for the TT cab? I'm debeating between the 997 TT or the LP560. Possibly the R8 V10 but not sure... coming from a turned 6'TT , it's really hard not to want something of more power and perhaps something different than a P-car....

Says who?
What does that have to do with anything? I have curb rash, I have scrapes on the nose. So what? Car is in perfect mechanical condition and always maintained. It's the 2009, 2K mile cars that suck. They haven't been driven for **** and the warranties are almost gone, so not only do you pay a premium for it being 'new,' you have to pay to fix all the little **** that would have gotten worked out under warranty under normal usage.
It's a car, not an egg. And besides, you lose $60-70K on the car with only 3K miles. Might as well drive it another 17K miles and sell it for a little less.
