Saturday 1-24-15:


Bob's UGR 570 ran a 233.8 and took the win for the day. I'm fairly certain this is a new record 1/2 mile speed. UGR had 2 Vboxes in the car and speed was verified.

i read it. i know dustin sold his car and i don't know bob so i thought it might have been his. how much damage to the ugr car that went off the end of the runway?

 

It's Bob Helm's TT-G, not Dustin's. The only car I know that went off the runway was the OB Prestige/Heffner car. They were running it without the rear diffuser & bumper, so it probably had no down force & cut loose when the boost hit. No secret the Toyo R888's can't really handle the power these cars are making.

 

I saw a video of a black lambo on a rollback with the diffuser broken off

 

i think it blew a tire at very high speeds. Thank god that the damage was not greater.

Tires at this power level is definitely an issue!

 

There was never a black lambo on a back of a roll back with the diffuser broken off. That was the red lambo.

The black Gallardo never went off the end of the runway, it just spun out (on the runway) from a blown tire.

That black Lambo was a bad piece. Glad to hear that it was just a tire that blew and it didn't get messed up too bad.

 

I always hear about Underground Racing this and Ugr that. I never really got it until I got to experience what they did at that the runway event this past weekend. Its amazing how those UGR Gallardos grab everyone's attention when they are up to make a speed run. Congratulations to Ugr!

dude, what was up with the shifts being so violent, it sounded like an air shifter or just something with a lot of line pressure or something. Excuse my lack of knowledge of lambo trans stuff.

UGR is the ****ing technical king; its not just the v10; these guys know their cars better than any other tuner, and thats why they go fast, 99% of the time.
