Car search
Greetings,
Wanted to solicit opinions from fellow members on a future purchase. Going to be switching it up a little and get into a Ferrari or Lamborghini soon. Right now I am targeting coupes - F430 and Gallardo. Curious on folks thoughts here on the 2009-2014 Gallardo. Have a budget up to ~185k and there are many options in this range.
Thanks for your time!

That budget will get you into any F430 or G car. Personally, I'd be aiming for a 458 coupe. A little more money, worth it down the road.
Their transmissions are old school compare to the newer models. I just tried the Huracán...boy that car is insane ! So is the 991TTS. Performance wise, they're king of the road.
Don't forget to stop by your neighborhood Chevy dealer and check out the Z06 (auto). wink wink.

Thank you. I do respect the corvette but want something German or Italian. Hadn't considered the 991tts.
When you reference the "old school" transmissions you are referring to the Gallardo and F430 correct?
I like the exotic nature of both cars, which is what attracted me to both vehicles.

I've had several Gallardo's over the years and I can tell that they are great and very reliable. A true 6mt is rare but still available if you want one also.
The egear from 09 and newer is totally acceptable if not more entertaining than some dual clutches out there. No it is not as silky smooth or quick shifting but also does not feel like an automatic like a PDK does. Getting an egear snap shot is important also. If you want a hardcore fun car, look for an '11 superleggera. They are a blast and have unbelievable upgrade potential!
Feel free to pm me if you have any more specific questions.

I have 2 Gallardo 1 04 6spd and a 2011 lp570 Superleggera. I had another lp570 but sold it couldn't stand a black car lol. And replaced it with a r8 gt. The r8 gt is a car u might want to add to the list. I second what the other guy is saying save your money and go for the 458. That's the next on my list to buy this year. If u are planning to mod the cars stick the the r8 or Gallardo. Dallas performance has turboed all my lambos and is working on my r8 as we speak. Any question or if u are even I the Dallas pm me and I'll take u for a ride.

I think the LP Gallardo is way superior than the F430... The F430 is comparable with the Pre LP Gallardo.
