For all you Supra owners, how did you find it handled? Have any of you driven a Dodge Stealth TT for comparison? I've always loved the looks and tuning potential of the Supra, but haven't heard the greatest things about its handling.

Sorry about the no engine bay shots, this is the best one I have right now.
1989 Toyota supra 5 speed (origionally NA)
1jz-gte swap
Holset HX35w turbo
3" turbo back, cattless
4.30 gears
Hopefully it will be finished soon (this weekend would be nice).
Target goals are 400whp @ 17psi, full spool by 3800 in 3rd, and a 12.0 flat on drag radials w/ pump gas.
I know it is a MKIII, but you didn't say that it had to be a MKIV.

I've driven a lot of mk3, mk4, and SC300 -- Anything is possible with mods, but as a stock car, it has a lot of body roll and is slightly front heavy, therefore is real ****ty at quick transitions such as slalom or chicane type situations. There's a lot of rubber under the car, so max grip for sweeping turns is not a problem. The car just never feels nimble.
I thought it was because of the ~3600 lb curb weight, but almost every other car I've owned, even the w202 Mercedes, has been about as heavy but had much more nimble handling, even completely stock. I've never driven a 3000GT/Stealth, so can't compare directly.

Lol you're forgetting lots of pieces of that equation. Go to the drag event at Supras Invade Las Vegas -- it's not like all the JZA80's are running 10's (there are some standouts, but most are in the 11-12 range), and the SC300 is a heavier car.
