I guess the W12 was the closest thing there was from VW.

In the 200k realm, you are paying for more than performance.

For $200K --- I'll take a host of other cars before I'd buy this Lexus Just for starters I'd get a 997GT2, 997TT, Gallardo, F430, or SL63 AMG Black Series before this.

Nice car but not worth $200k IMO

It will be interesting to see how this one works out. I just don't see many people lining up at that admission price, but who knows. It is just interesting that the most expensive car Toyota has sold that I am aware of is the Lexus LS600H and even that is only about 105K, and now they are looking to market a car at 2X the price. It sounds like they are only looking to produce about 500 so I am sure they will be sold out quickly.

One thing you know for sure if it is coming from Toyota is that no corners will be cut, and it will probably be a beast that few can rival...

I just hope they don't throw people the service-cost like how Nissan is throwing to the GTR owners.

They don't have an SL63 black series, if referring to the 65 it is over 300k.

Actually, an out of reach price for a supercar is just what Lexus needs.

It will do for Lexus what the Genesis did for Hyundai.

It will instantly put Lexus > BMW in a bigger way than Audi's R8 put Audi > BMW.

Having a plan to put the Lexus nameplate in comparisons with Ferrari and Lamborghini is not insane.

that's an interesting way/perspective of putting it, maybe that's what Lexus is thinking/hoping to happen.
