I know life isn't fair and I am well aware of various OBN's. I've worked in third world countries where everything is about who you are related to, who knows you etc. That's probably one of the biggest, if not the most important reason why those countries are in the kind of morally devoid, decrepit state without any light at the end of the tunnel.
As for you going about it the right way, my hat's off to you, BB.
I appreciate your maturity, ( I'm sure your MUCH older and have MUCH more life experience than me ). It's nice holding up a conversation with someone without it turning into an argument that ends up nowhere. I appreciate your input, and will look forward to reading other threads started by you.
+1 Rep to you.

Only a couple more years till I can actually drink legally
I'm only in college.
Beautiful cigar lounge with great drinks here, I'm friends with the owner, tell me when you come down and we'll both enjoy VIP treatment.
Looking at picking up another handgun. Curious as to what everybody's favorites are. I'm going to guess eight desert eagles pop up. Personally, I like this little guy:
The P22 is a great little gun for a weekend plinker... The cost and time it takes to get your Class III license for a supressor may or may not be worth it. If you pick it up without the can, get the 5" version.
I've pretty much shot them all in my job. Personally, I'm a big Kimber fan, especially the Ultra CDP II (my primary concealed carry weapon)...but you also can't go wrong with any Glock or Sig. For a do-it-all weapon, the Glocks are pretty much indestructible.
If I were you I'd head to a gun store and put your hands on them before you make a decision.

have it. Tactical Innovations usually runs a special for the Walther P22 and suppressor combo. You have to play around with the ammo to find something that works, the subsonic just doesn't cycle all the time. I think I ended up using something rated at 1475 fps, will have to check.
As far as using it as a carry weapon, I think nothing says "dont' f with me" like a suppressor. Someone mugging you sees you pull that out and they're going to say "damn, that's some James Bond **** right there, I'm not messing with this guy". Pull out a big chrome Desert Eagle .50 and they're going to laugh at you and say you don't have the balls to use it.
Now, as far as stopping power goes, it's probably just going to piss off the guy when you shoot him with it, a .22 doesn't really have any stopping power.
I carry a Glock 26 (subcompact 9mm) and keep the Walther and Suppressor as toy to take to the range....most first dates I take to the private range to see how much fun they are and the suppressor is the most effective afrodisiac I've ever used!
If you're going to do it, hurry and start the paperwork while the tax is still only $200!

Here's a question I haven't found a clear answer to:
Is it legal to concealed carry a pistol with a silencer on it? I imagine that it isn't and certainly that there are a wide range of interpretations differing by state. That and the fact that I don't know a single person who does it leads me to believe that you'd probably open yourself up for a lot of problems if you did in fact carry that way.

Until someone attacks you and you let that hand Howitzer rip and everyone goes for cover. Probably one of the most ridiculous weapons ever made, but when it goes off and you manage to keep it on target, it sure does some impressive damage.

Most people who get shot in the face by a sling shot go down, much less a couple of .22 rounds. I guess this is the age old argument over "stopping power".

That's a good carry pistol!

Very nice. Taking a chick out to shoot at the range with silenced weapons will give her the aforementioned "James Bond" feel!

No kidding. That and you might want to order some ammo in bulk while it's still relatively affordable (and legal).

I researched this, and in PA, Class III weapons can be carried as normal as long as you have a concealed weapons permit. THe only difference is you need to pay the tax and apply for the Class III "permit" before you can purchase it. Once you own the weapon legally, you can carry it anywhere. Suppressor, bayonet, full auto pistol...as long as you have that little tax stamp from uncle Sam with you, you are legal to carry.
I'm not sure if this is a federal or state issue, here's why:
1. You apply to the federal government for your tax stamp, so it's the Feds who are managing this, which means this is not a state by state situation.
2. Jack ass Mayor Street of Philadelphia tried to ban concealed weapons inside city limits. Even though he passed the law, it was determined he had no jurisdiction to pass the law as it's an issue determined by PA govt and it's not a law than can be adjusted or overturned on a local level. I have a concealed weapons permit issued by my town and it applies to all areas of PA.
only being 22 I surprisingly know a lot about guns. There are my hobby and I like to dabble in gunsmithing. I would have to say 1911's are my favorite when it comes to handguns. They are proven, shoot very well, and look mean as hell!!
