Donny,

Sorry I missed the event you had going at the Delta. I do appreciate the invite. Maybe next time. I may be back out there in a week or so. I'll let you know.

i do alot of kayakfishing. here in california we catch everything from calico bass to Thresher sharks from our yaks. theres nothing more fun than getting towed around on the ocean by a 100+ lb Thresher.

First boat was a 00 Trophy 23'
Went to a 50' 2002 Viking

- sold in 2006 because our captain kept taking it out of his own free time and charging people for private charters (heh, we always would swear that it burnt gas while it was in its slip). After that my father swore off hiring crews, and insisted we could maneuver the boat by ourselves. It only took 2 nice gashes in a matter of a month before we sold it.
Downsized to a 2006 Grady 33 Express - which was sold last year after only using it maybe 8 times.

there are a lot of horror stories like yours down here in the Virgin Islands.Owners live in the states and captains taking out boats for their own pleasure. One captain got to drunk let his wife pilot the boat and ran over the anchor line, wasted the prop shafts and transmissions. The captain fled the islands never to be found again. This was a brand new boat also. After fishing all day out on the boat and not catching a thing i decided to fish off our dock after dinner and caught this...

I do not fish as much as I use to and I really miss it. Here is my boat.

It is a 2006 Fountain 38TE with triple 275 Verado's and dual Raymarine E120's radar and everything else. I am putting it up for sale most likely so downsize to a smaller boat. It runs 73mph and crusies at 47 getting 1.3mpg, or 44 getting 1.4mpg burning 30 gallons an hour. Awesome performing boat and built very well.
