check out www.fandsboatworks.com those are nice boats as well. Hatteras, Bertram, Viking, Buddy Davis.

The outriggers on these boats are usually positioned near the back of the cabin house and are angled back, with supports soming from the flying bridge deck which allows you to angle them outboard when fishing, or inward when you are running.

Im real big into fishing. Down here in Florida we fish every sailfish tournament there is during the winter. And during the summer we go out for a couple months to the Bahamas for spear fishing. and towards the end of the summer we go dow towards San Salvador and Rum Cay for the Tuna and Marlin. It great. PM me if you have any questions.

Another Angler Checking In

Yep...me too, love to fish. I keep a boat on a pretty big lake here in South Carolina, Lake Murray, and regularly striper fish. For approximately 4 or 5 months out of the year, I move the boat to Georgetown, SC which is on the coast and do some offshore fishing.

Last year, my wife and I went to Costa Rica sportfishing and I caught an approx. 400lb. Black Marlin amongst a bunch of 100lb+ Pacific Sailfish. This year we went fishing in Cabo and didn't have the same great luck.

Below is a picture of my fishing boat. It's definitely not a baller boat and isn't even in the same realm as some of the boats mentioned by the original poster. However, this boat is perfect for our use. Its a 2005 29ft. Wellcraft with twin Yamaha 225 4- strokes. We bought it brand new and had it rigged to my specifications. Its comfortable and versatile enough for my wife and I and our 2 dogs to spend the weekend in. Yet its plenty capable of a full day journey to the Gulf Stream for some trolling action.

Below are a few photos:

Finally, some fishermen!

Years and years ago I quit my job as a stockbroker after many years in the grind and fished for a living for 6 years. Got some great press out of it including an offer to be on Oprah.

My favorite tournament is the BBC or Bahamas Billfish Championship. We fish 5 tournaments over 10 weeks, mainly in the Abacos. These are where the true ballers play. I fish against Huyzenga, Bacardi, etc. and the format is simple. Biggest fish of the week takes the cash. Cold hard cash. Figure 80 boats at $14,000 for the calcutta, and you get one lucky guy walking away with a garbage bag with a million dollars in hundreds. Literally.

Biggest I ever won was a shade over 650K several years back in Marsh Harbour for a 600lb plus fish. Great times, really cool to see genuine big shots laid back and doing Jager shots with locals!

I have scaled back on the boats. Used to have a 55-65 foot Carolina boat built every couple years, fish it for a season and sell it the next year in FL. Get them built locally in the outer banks and you can usually fish for free for a year and pocket a hundrek K or so.

After my 8th ortho surgery I realized my back is shot and I just couldn't do it anymore...I now have a 31' Jupiter and a 20' striper jet boat. Dan, I have fished Murray, Hartwell, etc many times. The jet boat is perfect for giant stripers in the summer when they get way up in the rivers looking for the cool water. I have a Merc 240hp sportjet, which is a 250hp promax racing motor top end bolted to a Merc jet pump. With a 100 gallon livewell, 3 pumps and oxygen infusion, I can spend all day all by myself way way up in the rivers!

Here's the link to the BBC if anyone is interested. I don't know which tournaments I am fishing this year but if anyone is going to be down there shoot me a pm and we'll hook up down there!

wheelB,
Thats a great looking boat. Love the triple powered center consoles, they are great (and fast) fishing boats. A lot of people are getting away from the tournament battle wagons and using these faster boats more. Makes more sense to me, i can get to the canyons out in the atlantic a hell of alot quicker crusing 60 mph

Wheelb-
Pretty boat. What's she weigh...what's the burn at cruise? I was born and raised down there- graduated from Killian high. I went to school with Rob Hammer, you know him from the fishing circles?
