You're no Baller unless your yacht has....

....A Shadow!

The $35 Million ‘Shadow Yacht’

Just when you thought the oil barons in the Middle East had found the limits of extravagance, along comes a new innovation in wealth absorption: the shadow yacht.

A shadow yacht. (Shadow Marine)

A shadow yacht is a trailer yacht for your megayacht — a floating garage of a sort that tags along with your main yacht to carry your collection of helicopters, cars, motorcycles, jet skis and motorboats. That way, when you pull up to the docks of Monaco in your 350-foot main yacht, you can also pull into the local restaurants in your personalized drophead Rolls, without having to endure the indignity of a rented limo.
The boats can also pack fuel, water, spare parts and supplies, allowing more remote travel.
Shadow Marine, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., is the main builder of shadow yachts, and they’ve sold two already — both to Middle Eastern clients. The company recently released a new model, called the Allure, which is much more plush than the earlier versions. Replacing the garage-like décor is an interior complete with six staterooms, a pool, sky lounge, theater, game room and mini gym.

A salon on an ‘SUV’ (Shadow Marine)

Aside from carrying toys, the 200-foot Allure can also host a floating party, since it’s equipped to hold as many as 500 people. The hangar bay can easily be converted into a climate-controlled nightclub complete with DJ booth. Shadow Marine calls the resulting craft an “SUV,” or sport utility vessel, clearly hoping to ride the Escalade craze among the rich.
The Allure sells for about $35 million. Despite the price, Shadow Marine says the boat is nothing if not practical.
“You can do things with a primary vessel and a shadow boat that you could never do with one large boat,” says Jon Stuart, Shadow Marine’s creative director. “It makes more sense economically to have two smaller vessels than one giant 500-foot vessel.”
The best part: The shadow yachts are made from decommissioned oil-supply boats, which were used to service offshore oil rigs.

Now that’s recycling

Pull that.....?

You don't pull it! It follows your around, like a supply ship of sorts.

Why not just have the car or "stuff" awaiting at your next port.

You can literally do just that... Buy a car, boat, and jet skis at every port for cheaper than sail that thing around and burning thousands in fuel costs every 10 minutes.

Obviously if you own that, fuel is no concern to you anyway, but it would be neat to give a car away at every port when you set sail.

I don't think anything can quite top that in the terms of, "excessive & unnecessary".
