Now the real question:

If you have one of these 200+ foot megayachts all decked out like the pictures above, would you even have a real house on land?

I would probably just have garages on each coast, one in France or England and one in Italy. No real houses.

I was at the Monaco Yacht Show in September and got to see some of these boats up close. Words can not describe the detail and the beauty of these yachts.

I'm guessing there are perhaps only ~1,000 people on the planet who can afford to buy and operate such a yacht without having to charter it. They're so incredibely expensive that even for someone like Paul Allen, it will take a noticable chunk out of the house hold budget.

A man owning such a yacht once told my dad 'you have no idea how lucky you are that you don't need employees to man your yacht, they'll suck the blood out of a man'

And it's true, if you go and look around your average marina, the people owning 50 ft+ yachts spend most of their time with polishing the damn thing. Where's the fun in that?
