Skat
Apparently there was quite some discussion about the way the windows pop out of this boats structure, the military like design and its gray paint. Many people dislike(d) it.
The owner's response in a magazine:
"To them we say, buy your own yacht."

As many of the photos on this thread have been "borrowed" from the BYM Gallery I don't think you would mind if I point you to the Megayachts Folder where you will find many more photos including the MirabellaV and the Maltese Falcon.
There are also articles on the Mirabella V and the owner Jo Vittoria for you to read plus a video of her sailing can be found on this Link Here
Enjoy.....

This is a great thread indeed.....but i have to say that sometimes enough is enough with these mega yachts.
After having been around boats my whole life, id say the biggest id EVER go (if money was no object) would be somewhere around 85 feet.
Something like a Sunseeker, Perishing (posted above), or Lazzara would be great...as would a nice Hatteras or Viking Motor Yacht.
With that said...keep the pics coming!!!

Wedge Too is an AWESOME design. Feadships are the ultimate IMO.
That sailboat Mirabella got hung up on some rocks a few years ago, serious damage, I remember some nasty photos!
I have friends (yep, internet billionaire's - lucky bastards) with superyachts (150+), absolutely spoils you rotten when you're aboard, it's worse than crack, once you've had it you want it all the time, and even if 99.999% of the world would consider you super-successful, you leave feeling inadequate 'cause you cant have one and live this way all the time.
A rule of thumb is it costs about $100,000 per foot per year to operate a boat 150+ feet, so starts around $15 million annually. Not including the purchase price.

The Lurssen website is pretty cool, especially the book with all the kids pictures.

Has anybody seen the "Dubai" currently under construction by the Prince of Dubai? Said to be the nicest boat afloat when launched, it will come in at 525 ft. long and cost a reported 300 mil. Everyone on the project is sworn to secrecy as to ammenities, but I'm sure he's sparing no expense.
