On a recent trip to Catalina. Ours is the little sport-fisher.

Very interesting design. Years ago we docked at Palmer Johnson/ Thunderbolt marina in Sav. Ga. and a baby blue sail boat, almost in the style of an asian "junk" had the very same window feature design. Do you happen to know if your builder also designed/built sailing yachts. Anyway, very, very unique!

The boat was actually built in 1986 by Oceanfast in Perth, Australia. The designer was Jon Bannenberg, the most famous yacht designer of all time. Many books have said it to be the most significant yacht of the century, being referred to at times as the yacht the revolutionized the yachting industry with its modern and sleek lines.

A game changer for sure. Checked out the details of "Never Say Never" and some of Bannenberg's other works. He clearly moved designs foward and noticed many other designers attribute their best works to his influence, including Ellison's "Rising Sun" if I recall correctly. Could not find the sail boat I spoke of, but whether he is responsible directly or not, he had to have been the inspiration for the window designs. Enjoy the dingy, it is all to fitting she reside in Miami. A beauty and historical significance/ appreciation to boot. Good work.
