That chrome/foiled SLR looks pretty awesome, but that thing must be a bitch to deal with in the daytime in Dubai for other drivers - they would have to wear welder's goggles to keep from being blinded!
The chrome SLR cannot be driven during the day.
The owner had a hard time registering the car and when he was finally able to, they said he's only allowed to bring it out at night. lol
It doesn't belong to the ruler of Abu Dhabi, it just belongs to some rich guy who decided to do something different and got it foiled. That's why it can't be driven during the day of course. (the ruler wouldn't have any limits on when to drive his car in his own country )

I still like the look of the car. Whether it's foiled or chromed, I think it looks totally bad-ass. Kind of the polar opposite of the flat black look. I would sh!t myself if I found out that the guy had one like that too. That would just tell me that things are completely out of hand.
I can understand not being able to drive it around during the day. I have been behind a car that has had a single chrome accent strip or the like on the back end of the car, and if the setting sun is behind you, you almost go blind because of the reflection. With the sunshine out in Dubai (or any desert for that matter), that car would just incinerate things with the reflection, LOL.
I doubt that SLR is his, im pretty sure he would have different plate numbers for it... Like the ruler of Dubai, his cars have the plate number 1.
That chrome SLR definately belongs to Saudi Royalty. The plate only has 4 characters. I believe 4 character plates are reserved for royalty and regular people of 6 or 7 charcter plates...
