E55 AMG Suspension Settings (C, S1, S2)

Does anyone know what the difference is between Sport 1 and Sport 2 when changing the suspension in a W211 2003-2006 E55?

The comfort setting is obvious and does an admirable job of providing a softer rider while not being lofty or decreasing the handling sense, but...

Sport 1 and Sport 2... Obviously firm up the ride and do provide better handling, but i cannot tell which setting provides "better" handling... The firm levels appear pretty similar as well...

Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't the car get lower depending on what setting you have enabled? I believe the firmest suspension (S2) would be the best handling setting. In this setting the car should be lowest to the ground and should have the firmest suspension settings. You may not notice much but if you are driving hard, I suggest keeping it in S2.

There is a ride height adjustment button that is separate from the suspension settings. I believe that S2 is the stiffest setting, which is what I usually drive the car in. I usually have the car lowered and on S2 with the transmission in S mode.
