A: The % stands for VLT (visible light transmission), which means the higher the number, the lighter the film is

 

For those not familiar with Spectra PhotoSync, it is a nano window film that will adjust its nano properties to perform better when exposed to direct solar radiation (sunlight). The result is the film's heat rejecting properties begin to change to block up to 98.5% of infrared rays. This video below shows this effect:

Conducted another test since we have been receiving inquiries to test PhotoSync against ceramic

Test: PhotoSync vs. a leading ceramic tint at 40%

 

Another test we conducted recently. With Prestige Film Technologies' Spectra PhotoSync Nano Window Film. We decided to document this test to show how well this product performs compared to a leading 30% ceramic tint. The previous test was done compared to a ceramic 40%. Test specs:

Spectra PhotoSync 65% (yes, we are using a lighter film to compare with a darker 30% ceramic tint)

30% Ceramic (one of the more popular ceramic tint products on the market....sorry, we are not going to name the manufacturer of this product, but can say it is likely the most well-known on the market)

Conditions:

Outdoor Temperature: 75 degrees

Test Time: 2pm

Measurement Equipment: BTU Meter aimed directly at the window films to obtain simultaneous readings for accuracy

Test Subject: Raging Gray Bull named the Aventador

This is a very nice product...excellent clarity, superior heat rejection, and so far from what we've seen - unmatched performance w/o wrecking havoc in electronics of today's luxury / exotics. Definitely a good match for your clients. Give us a ring and we will put you in touch with our local rep as they are looking for 2-3 dealers in the Socal region (3-4 per state).

 

To note, this video below shows how PhotoSync compares to a very popular ceramic 40% tint. However, this comparison was done at Spectra PhotoSync's pre-activation phase. In short, PhotoSync's Solar Adaptive Coating did not activate to produce maximum heat rejection, which means it will perform even better when exposed to solar energy for approximately 15 minutes.

 

I've bought an reflective windshild screen form Walmart that works pretty good and I don't think it would cost nearly as much as that film does!!

It sure is...and before providing it to our clients, we put the products to test. This is by far, the highest heat rejecting film we have seen and it will not affect wireless signals such as am/fm, satellite, radar detectors, keyless entry systems, etc.

 

It would be nice to have this film on my work truck considering I'm in it for 6-8 hours a day.
