haa. Agreed and the maintenance isn't going to kill you on the R1 as it would on the Desmosedici RR. I might be looking at the new BMW and the Aprilia RSV4 as well.

Agreed as well. I too have my eye on the new BMW 1000. It won't be nearly as fast as my R1, but it is a trade off I suppose....

Do you gents like the styling of the new BMW Sbk? I think the Aprilia RSV4's styling is attractive but the BMW maybe has a little too much function over form...

I don't think its beautiful like the RSV4 or the Desmo. But its not ugly. BMW has put a lot of technology into the bike and their price point, at least in the U.S., is quite low compared to similar bikes with the same features.
