Turbo Hayabusa

2006 recently finished turbo busa project
617HP/307TQ....without the big back tire and heavy rim prob would have seen 640HP and with turbo cams 670Hp....maybe in the future. Goal was to build the ultimate street bike that can be raced/cruise distance/land speed/street ride. With a conservative tune and timing pulled it makes 360HP on pump fuel and if a normal tire was on the bike I would be looking for 400HP. Its rides extremely well and I actually put 400 miles on it last saturday. Can run up to 18lb boost it has a GT4094R and uses a liquid/Air intercooled plenum

Yes I had a video of a 300HP dyno run but the camera went dead during the big pulls at 40lb boost. I will have to take it out on the street and makes some videos with it. I weight 270 in riding gear and it will wheel spin at 160mph in 4th gear with 330HP setting

I rode a stock ZX-14, and thought that THAT was fast...
perhaps a sub 10sec 1/4mi bike is slower than I thought...

I think stock busas and just about all sport bikes are fast....its just until you ride a turbo busa that you come to the realization that nothing is fast haha. It seriously will suck up all other sport bikes on the road like they are a toyota camry, it pretty much sucks the eyes out of your skull and thats only in the 300HP+range on pump fuel.....at 150mph it pulls almost harder than you can react, they say the real **** your pants pulls are when you dump the C16 in it and start laying down 25lb+ boost. I think most people believe they are foolish and not practical but if you are a TRUE speed freak and ever get a chance to ride one I would expect you to start waking up in the middle of the night sweating going through withdrawals because you want one so bad ....truly nothing else like it that you can ride on the street

Is it even possible to drive it on the high boost setting? It doesn't even seem like there would be enough weight pushing down to keep the tires from spinning at even half throttle.

HAHA what is the top speed of the bike at 600HP. It must seriously be about 300MPH. You should come out for the next standing mile event....

I think you can drive on the high boost setting but your not gonna find anyone willing. I've heard 500HP is brutal. Like i said earlier its impractical but if your a speed freak then its right up your alley...nothing like having feeling like your arms are gonna get ripped out of socket even rolling in the throttle at 170MPH. There are lots of guys that run the texas and maxton mile. A kit identical to this but with an 88mm instead of the 94mm GT40R that i have....ran 260mph and it was only set at 460-480HP i think you run into weight and traction issues at that speed. Its def got more power than you can ever use and thats what i think is cool about it. Not alot of stuff out there you can run land speed with, trap 185+ in the quarter and then ride to the grocery store

its slammed and its got an adjustable 5-8 over arm on it and i weigh 270.....Ive only ridden it on 330HP on the street but i would guess when you venture 400+ its starts getting even wilder. I know a guy that ran 257mph at maxton mile said that his was coming up 225mph+ at 480 HP

again... I am at awe

I am 165lb, and the stock 09 ZX14 felt like a rocketship
I am surprised that I was handling it well; my friend behind me (on a ZX10) said that I was almost dragging the exhaust/knees - how well this thing cornered surprised me

thanks, the dump pipe hanging out the side and filter give the turbo away....and the slammed stretched looked kinda tells people it means business, but nobody would know it makes this kind of power and 90% of people will not believe you even if you tell them

That thing is very impressive, but with my still novice ability on a bike, I'd be better suited to put that motor into a Smart and make a few extra dollars racing exotics!
