New Ride

I picked up a 2007 Yamaha FZ6 about 5 weeks ago. Riding has been a blast. This is my first bike and I think it is the perfect size. It scares me enough for now so I don't see an upgrade needed in the near future. Red was not my first choice but I fell in love with it. Dan

Just bought an 2005! One owner, 900 miles! Brought it home tonight. What do I need to know? Need to get a pipe, fast. It sounds like a vacuum cleaner. Will get a pic up soon.

Its a great streetbike. Its nice to be up higher than a race style 600. You can really trip that bike about anywhere and ride for hours without getting sore. Wear your gear and keep the sticky side down.

Not much you need to know.. it is virtually maintenance free...
I just put in a Leo Vince exhaust on it with the cat delete... it sounds pretty bad ass now

Where did you buy that set up? Do you have a clip? Did you have to mods the ecu? What fz forum should I be on? Thanks--LT

After putting on a bit of mileage I am extremely happy. I thought it was a bit loud at first but it has the perfect tones at different RPMS. When you are cruising on the freeway you don't even notice it. You really hear it at low RPMS when taking off and of course at high rpms when you are giving it.
Great purchase. The only other exhaust that I think sounds good on the bike is the Two Brothers. Either one will be a great addition and you won't regret it.

I picked up the exhaust locally.. there are many deals you can find on ebay though. Haven't found any online that offer the midpipe, they are all slip ons.. I would recommend asking your local dealer. I'm sure they will be able to point you in the right direction.

It Idles a bit differently however it rides excellent.. No ECU mods... Not sure if its necessary...

Ok good I just joined that forum (same user name). As far as pipes, the scorpions also sounded really good on the video clips and I understand that they are more resonable but they look kind of lame.
