GT-R hits 11.3 @ 120 with the updated Launch Control

Turns out a nagtroc member, who got the ecu update for his GT-R, ran an 11.347 @120.850...a safer launch yet faster time is always a good thing in my books

this guy has been setting the bar for stock times...

before this, he ran an 11.60 (on factory dunlops).

now with this feature, it's going to get interesting.

Galactus is infamous around these parts
I think we will find out on Saturday as he is going to the track again. My guess is an 11 flat @125mph.

i believe the driver turned off the system but it revved to 3000rpm instead of 4500rpm plus...i also think that you can launch it with VDC on race mode and still be able to launch by brake torque

yup, that's how it works.

you can launch at 3000 (or 3500 if you hit it just right), in vdc 'normal', 'r', or 'off'. the problem with launching in 'normal' is you'll never keep traction, and vdc will kick in. launching in 'r' sets everything right.

but the hill start assist appears gone as well, and you can just hit from idle and my 0-60 time dropped (with a tune) to 3.1secs, and that was my first and only attempt (measured on the cobb accessport).

It's interesting he had a 1.690 60ft in -2000 DA and still trapped 120mph. Looks like 122mph is the upper end and possibly less depending upon the ECU update.

I wonder what 0-60mph time would be on that run. 3.0?

roll racing? is this a sanctioned event that nissan overlooked when designing a weekend racecar?

my car doesn't do too bad from a roll.
