TSM Build Alpha16 Headed Home!!!
I wanted to share with you guys this simply awesome build we just had the privilege of completing for a great custom out in Texas. HF5 is his name on the forums and he has been an absolutely awesome customer since day one! The very first time I met Henry was an experience to say the least and I knew from that dinner on that we were going to be great friends for a long time.
It has been a very fun road watching this car go from a "little" Pro Eight build to the absolute MONSTER 4.4 Alpha16 that it is today. Henry made sure to do this thing right with nothing but the absolute best parts available. From the Sonny Bryant crank driven TSM 4.4 to the Alpha16 turbo kit all the way to the carbon ceramic brake it to save rotating mass! No performance stone was unturned and absolutely everything is the best of the best!
You will find the full mod list below but I will hit some high points for you guys. As I said the car is powered by our TSM 4.4 Engine. The guts consist of a Sonny Bryant crank, TSM Exclusive Callies Rods, and TSM Exclusive Diamond billet pistons. Don't be fooled though, we for sure put some extra love into the factory block in order to keep it happy at these torque levels. There will be more on our TSM exclusive rotating assembly coming soon and we are very excited about it. As for the heads we of course did extensive porting on them, we have been playing with all kinds of different port designs on the TSM A16 and have really dialed in what makes power and what doesn't when it comes to port design. Combined with our port work is a full GSC valve, spring, cam setup that is simply the best quality in the industry in our opinion. Awesome stuff! I have you have not looked into it them you should! Along with that you have some key parts, Boost Logic Intake Manifold, Shep Trans, Motec M1 ECU, Boost Logic Triple Pump, 12 Injector setup.... and the list goes one (see below)
I have to say this car is an absolute animal! It comes up on the street just like a 4.0 A12 / 35R does and makes TONS more power at similar boost levels. The graph you see below is at 42.4 max PSI on E98 fuel! The combination is simply doing work! The car cracked 1500whp at just 37PSI of boost. I have to say that this is the best driving 1500hp car I have been in. The Motec ECU does a great job controlling both the power and the drivability of this beast.
