We've finally decided on the date for the next meet (affectionately named by some of my friends as ECFest ) and the tentative plans are below. Please also check this first post periodically for any updates.

Fri Apr 15th:

Sat Apr 16th:
- 10AM: Cars and Coffee at Santana Row
- 11:30AM: Cruise to Malibu Grand Prix via 280N/92E/101S (Approx 40 miles)

I'm going to post hotel info hopefully later today or tomorrow for those that are coming from out of town. I'm getting some good rates from friends for Hotel Valencia inside Santana Row and the Wyndham hotel on N First St near downtown San Jose. Even if you're just coming from somewhere not too far like SF, this could be something to consider to make a small weekend getaway.

 

HOTEL INFO:

1) Hotel Valencia in Santana Row (http://www.hotelvale...om/ourhotel.php): Rate is $159 with a free upgrade to their Deluxe room with balcony (normally around $200). Please call Vivienne at 408-423-5403 or email her at vnguyen@valenciagroup.com and reference ECFest. These are rooms with 1 king bed. They have rooms with two doubles as well but it won't be the upgraded Deluxe rooms as those are sold out.

2) Wyndham Hotel on N First St near downtwon San Jose (http://www.wyndham.c.../SJCAP/main.wnt): This is about 4 miles from Santana Row off Hwy 880. Rate is $79 with free breakfast buffet and upgrade to Executive Kings. Please call 408-453-6200 and reference group name Euro Car Fest.

I believe most of the folks from SoCal will be staying at the Valencia.



ALSO, HERE ARE THE DETAILS FOR MALIBU GRAND PRIX:

- Per person cost will be around $30
- 3-4 slices of pizza (cheese or pepperoni)
- Unlimited popcorn

- ~30 game tokens
- Four hours of unlimited Miniature Golf and Bumper Boats
- Five Turbo Go Kart or Grand Prix laps
* There's a 56" height requirement for Turbo Go Karts
* You have to be 16 yrs old with valid driver's license for the single seat Grand Prix cars or 18 yrs or older with DL for the two seater Grand Prix cars
