Sunday Nov. 6 -Fall back one hour -daylight savings time ends

Hi All...
Don't show up an hour early on Sunday ...
And please refrain from "noise" exhibitions/contests when leaving the lot!

Coffee usually arrives about 7:30AM...

November was one of the largest showing of vehicles, just over 800!
Thanks to everyone who remembers to keep the noise levels down.

Sunday March 5th - Rain or shine as usual.

At the moment, it looks like it may be more "misty" than "shiny"...
Please remember to refrain from "exhibitions of loudness" when arriving and leaving...it would be a shame to have the event shut down by the actions of a few loose cannons.
Again, thanks to everyone who participates in the monthly event!

Sunday April 2nd - expecting better weather

Approximately 200 vehicles and their drivers showed up in less than "ideal" weather conditions on March 5th.
Sunshine finally broke through the clouds about 9AM.
Thanks to all who braved the inclement weather!

Sunday May 7th - Mini heat wave should be over!

April resulted in a mammoth turnout reportedly over 1000 vehicles, which can become quite a challenge for the participants and volunteers...

If you are planning on attending the May Cars & Coffee event, please note that the Devil Mountain 5K/10K Run in also on Sunday morning so Sycamore Valley Road at the 680 Fwy will be blocked for extended periods of time starting at 7:30am. We suggest taking Diablo Road or Crow Canyon Road when arriving and departing from Blackhawk.

Many thanks to all who participate in a responsible fashion. However, there are still a few who can cause grief when they "show off" their cars...it would be a shame to have the event shut down after four years for excessive engine noises in the parking lots and/or disruptive behavior on departure.

Here is a quote from the April issue of the Blackhawk Museum Newsletter:

"One of the inherent challenges that nearly every car event organizer experiences is the behavior of a few participants when leaving. Many cars & coffee style events in the Bay Area, and also around the country, have been cancelled by organizers or shut down by the property owners or authorities who do not want the exposure of a potential incident that could hurt someone, cause property damage, or at least the inconsiderate noise disruption to local neighbors. (emphasis added!)
If you are unaware of what can or what has happened, just look at the many cars & coffee videos on You Tube! Two years ago we nearly cancelled the Blackhawk Cars & Coffee following an incident with a ‘flying’ orange BMW M4 and the owner who thought he knew what he was doing trying to show off. Yes, we’ve made the ‘top ten’ list of reasons cars & coffee events can get cancelled. Each month we are constantly addressing this in order to maintain our monthly event in a safe manner which is enjoyed by so many car enthusiasts of all ages."

Sunday July 2nd

Thanks to everyone who participated; however, there are continuing problems with cars demonstrating their "prowess" in the parking lots and upon leaving.
Please pass the word to eliminate noise exhibitions...Mustang-Camaro-Challenger owners please take note!

A quote from the latest Blackhawk Museum newsletter:
"For our F1rst Sunday Cars & Coffee event on July 2, we are taking the opportunity to use our monthly collector car enthusiasts gathering to celebrate 2017 Collector Car Appreciation Day."

Officially, the date is Friday, July 14th; check out the video:

More than that is my guess...they apparently had 1200-1400 last month...this was just as big it seemed.
