Defer a ticket?

Got a ticket this morning leaving my neighborhood (35 in a 25 right next to the 35mph sign) - I've never gotten a ticket in Washington before, can you take defensive driving to not have it hit insurance?

Lawyer up... Fight it and get it dropped.

Deferrals are only offered because in a majority of cases they work out to the benefit of the state. Driver re-offends and then they get to hit you with both tickets and the $100 processing fee.

i got a deferred ticket once in my vw beetle (pre-porsche...haha!) and did the deferral option. i still had to pay adminstrative filing fees but the ticket was waived after a year. i was a good girl and didn't get any more tickets within that year. after all...i WAS in a vw beetle! haha! i think you can only do this once every seven years? i'm not positive. either way....knowing what i know now, i would just call jag!

Dont know much about deferring tickets..ask JAGS. One ticket should not effect your insurance at all..especially given its specifics- Thats almost as bad as my 30 mph in a 20 mph right next to a 25mph sign.. turns out the 1000' section of road becomes a park zone from May 1st thru Aug 31st. I've only gotten *caught* twice for speeding and I happily pay them as I speed (within reason) everyday. I figure why fight it when I know I was wrong...

I had a ticket deferred last year, couldn't find a lawyer willing to go that far south. If it's a local ticket though, you should get a lawyer. The deferment should be considered an almost last resort.

Give me a call. Not worth a Deferred IMHO - use that for a serious ticket that will really jack up your rates. I will more than likely get it dismissed and you will be dropping my name to others who tell you they got stopped

Use jag, I did for both Jody and myself. Cheap, easy and no hassles. You don't even have to go to court just send him a check. Now I have a clean diving record again. I've got jag now on speed dial.

My red 350Z must have a sign saying pulled me over floating above it, I've been pulled over with my mum in Seattle, and when I was in Wenatchee driving out in a PARK! I have Jags working my Seattle ticket. I actually successfully defended myself for the ticket I received in the park, but I wouldn't suggest this as I had buckets of evidence to prove the officer wrong and the judge knew me since I've been in front of her about 3 times before. ( I knew up in Wenatchee) I plug Jags to everyone I know that's been pulled over.

Last year, about 8 pm on a Saturday, when I called and left him a message, he called me right back. Same goes with emails/PM's. He's always very prompt in getting back to you! I appreciate you Jag!! (=^.^=)
