Hey gang, I'm looking for a referral for a Seattle-Tacoma area shop that can be trusted to do a Porsche 996 IMS upgrade properly and at a fair price. I've been taking my BMW and 996 to Auburn Foreign Car, who do a very nice job, but am looking to tap into the experience of the members here on a shop that might be more familiar with the IMS work. I spoke with Larson Porsche in Fife, and they were looking for about $3800 to do the RMS and IMS. Seems a little steep as Auburn Foreign Car quoted $1500 just for the RMS (I didn't ask about a price for the IMS upgrade). My car is a tip so it's understood that the dropping of the transmission runs a bit more than with a manual. Thanks!
