ADV fitment issue on 2013 Jaguar XKR
I'm new to this forum but not others and wanted to share my ongoing terrible experience with ADV and the purchase of ADV 10.1s for my 2013 XKR.
Beginning of September I placed an order with a dealer and patiently waited exactly 2 months. When the wheels arrived first off they were the wrong size. I ordered 20x9.5 front and 20x10.5 rears and told then it was going on a '13 XKR with H&R springs so that car is lowered 35mm. Now comes the real headache the offset.. The wheels let alone the tires would not fit within the rear quarter panels and the front wheels were inset about 2 inches.
So you think this is a simple fix just reforge the wheels and everyone is happy(keep in mind I'm 2k into a rental car as well).. But no ADV refuses to do so, they even refused to look at the wheels when their offices are 15 minutes away from where the wheels were installed. There excuse was they are not allowed to leave the building.. ok will look at the pictures... The tires are clearly sticking out and if you look closely its obvious the wheels are as well.
I'll leave the details to the attorneys and this is now going to litigation as of today but wanted to share my experience with ADV.
So you so ask what did I end up doing? So after two weeks of arguing with ADV I ordered new wheel from HRE, who sent over a detailed measurement guide for my car. After receiving the measurements, sending me a quote which I returned with a deposit, they completed my P101s in THREE business days and they fit perfectly. I'll post the HRE pics in a separate post so theres no confusion.
Take what you want for this post but I want everyone to know what my experience with ADV has been and we will see where this goes, unfortunately in front of a judge.

Sure I will be sending Satoru some professionally shot photos next weekend after the car is detailed as well.
By the way the entire sales process with HRE was excellent from start to finish!

As you might imagine, there is more than one side to this story.
THE REAL TRUTH:
We received an order for 20x9 and 20x11 Jaguar XKR wheels on 9/13/13 from one of our dealers in Florida. Our dealer had previously purchased the same setup for another of his Jaguar XKR customers and had installed the wheels with no problems.
We sent an order confirmation/invoice to our dealer on 9/13/13 advising him of the sizes, widths, offsets, finish, etc of his order. A copy of this document is attached to this post. As is our policy, we gave the dealer 24 hours to check the order and then we put the wheels into production.
At no time were we advised that there was a special tire size consideration, nor is this reflected in the order confirmation.
We shipped the finished wheels to our dealer in early November, 2013.
After the installation, we were advised by the customer that he was unhappy with the fitment.
We always make every effort to assist our dealers in these situations. However, in our view, the customer insisted on a choice of tires that was incompatible with this wheel setup.
In any case, we only manufactured the EXACT setup that our dealer requested.
We have manufactured thousands of sets of custom forged wheels and have a very detailed process that we use to confirm every order and manufacture to these exact specifications. This is precisely what was done in this case.
It is our opinion that this post is false, inaccurate and totally lacking most of the facts surrounding the order. Furthermore, we believe it is a deliberate attempt to damage our reputation.

Everyone has been heard from except the dealer who took the order...I will try to get their side and will report it here...this should be a warning to everyone out there to educate yourself about offsets/backspacing when ordering custom wheels...this is a case where a little mistake is just as bad as a big one...thread closed for now
