Picking up a Range Rover SVR
Scratching that itch again....
Land Rover has produced their fastest production car as of yet in their new vehicle dubbed the SVR. The SVR is JLR's Special Operations Unit akin to the "M" of BMW or "AMG" of MB. The RRS gets pushed up to 550 hp with a 0-60 of 4.5 sec. It has a 2 stage active exhaust, tuned chassis, torque differential, quicker torque converter for faster gearshifts, huge front air intakes, interior race seats....and just sounds wicked!
It set the lap record for an SUV at the Nurburgring at 8'14". (But this was soon bested by the latest Cayenne Turbo S)
I haven't driven it yet as these are pretty hard to find at MSRP, lots of dealers asking quite a bit over due to limited supply. In any case, I expect delivery in the next day or so and will write a "first drive" shortly..............

I will say tat the exhaust note alone on the SVR makes it a worthwhile fun daily driver.
