Great work and insane build, congrats!!! What are the specs on the heads (flow rates) and the CAMS (lift and duration)? You definately have to take this to TX mile, I'm sure you know VR since you live in NV or he will get a hold of you soon
Cheers Art

I know Alex yes. I don't want to put a 91mm on the car to compete with the times, and the car is full interior, a/c etc....It wouldn't come close to competing with the race car Supras that run the mile. If you can't win, why bother.
The head is a VWR total race port with 1mm oversized valves, etc....flow numbers are somewhere around 300 which doesn't sound like much, but the Supra heads are notoriously limiting. Cams are HKS 280's.
Thanks for answering all the questions bro. My intention was not asking about if you like to race anyone, just knowledge base. Flow rates are great and those CAMS are sick. Very nice build!!! When you get a chance check out my thread under 996tt/GT2 called "new project B9R" and let me know what you think. I can always use a few pointers there
Cheers Art

The heffner kit is great quality. I owned (for a very short time) a heffner twin turbo gallardo, one of the quickest cars I've had a chance to drive. I've heard that the underground cars are faster but, I've never had a chance to drive/ride in one for comparision. How does the supra compare to the gallardo? I'm assuming that the power is nowhere near as linear but, which would you think is the faster car overall?

It's really not about making anything faster. You can just put bigger turbos, more boost, etc....and make anything faster. I think the UGR guys come into builds with more good old boy....everything is a drag car.....type builds, which there certainly is nothing wrong with. I think Jason tries to keep the refinement of the car without losing what it really is, which is a true multi purpose exotic that does everything well. My car now makes as much or more power as any Gallardo I've heard of. I'm not sure what tune I want to drive the car on all the time, but I'll figure that out with more seat time. Both builders do a very nice job it seems, but I don't have a lot of experience with the UGR guys. They seem to do a nice job of turning exotics into drag cars, but that's really not something I'd want to do to a Lamborghini. I guess in my mind, a Lambo isn't a Supra or a Mustang, ie a straight line only monster in most cases.
In terms of what car is faster Supra/Gallardo, it really depends from what mph to what mph you are talking about. NOTHING feels as fast as a big turbo Supra. The way the power comes on is something you have to feel to understand or appreciate. I'd say the Gallardo is the faster car to 150mph, and still has the ability to carve up a mountain road....but it runs out of gear at 200mph. The Supra is just topping out 4th at 200mph, with 2 gears to go. For sheer fun factor, there isn't anything I've driven yet that is as jaw dropping as the power application of a big turbo Supra.
