Well, I suggest:
1) Take a look at Pierre996TT post (with images from Autobild)
2) Compare img1 (from hatch) with img 3(interior)

Result?
Where the central console at img1 is?
It's just another proof that this images are miles from final product.

Yes you are right ...but I believe the vents are all the time 'in' until you use the a/c ....and it rotate....like it does on the Jaguar XF.

I like the interior, looks like a mix between 997 and Audi A8 designs.

Three door hatch backs can barely sell. So what make them think a 4 door hatchback with do better. I don't think anyone is gunna dump an AMG S class, Audi S8 or 7 series BMW for this. Sorry this is a loser for Porsche.

I completely agree. A shame too...some of the early renderings of this car really showed promise, and porsche could have done such an incredible job with a 4-door coupe.

How can they make the interior uglier and less classy than the sporty 911-Cayman-Boxster?

I was hoping for Aston Martin style interior.

This just looks like a disaster in every way and makes the 996-986 interiors look like award winning designs.
