how could the 4s be faster with equal horsepower, more weight, and more drivetrain loss
Less slippage from a dead stop with AWD......so 0-60 w AWD cars tends to be faster (when launched correctly and agressively)
Thats what i think he is talking about. But overall quickness still prally goes to the lighter "S"

this theory makes sense, but it doesn't apply to 911 though. C2S always quoted to be faster 0-60 than C4S.

That's exactly what I asked my salesman....the reasoning is of course as mentioned by others who replied here....it's just that this is the first time the AWD is faster (unless they made a mistake in the catalogs and the web sites)
In a 911 the engine locate at the rear,C2S has better traction than Front engine-RWD cars when you launch it and it lighter than C4S so thats why it quicker.but panamera 2s is a FR car so the AWD version will be launch better for sure.Just image those big power BMW ///M and AMG cars, any AUDI S/RS car with less power can beat them easliy from launch to 60mph...
The S will be faster no doubt, after 100mph the all wheel drive become less efficient. The 4S is best for those who live in all elements.
