Got my p4s this past Wed. It has the camera and chip in place. Fully functional. Guess the supply chain for the camera is back in place as of end of August. 2011, when my car completed production. Btw, enjoying the car more than I thought I would! Its great!

Yonimation. I would bypass the salesman and speak with service dept direct. I saw a memo from porsche that retrofit program was to start end of november. Ie now. Your service dept should show you current bullitin re status. If your dealership not forthcoming call a competitor and if they are more cooperative reward them with the service work. The dealerships are going to be paid royaly by porsche usa. PS in the memo I saw you will be receiving 4 or 500 dollars toward 'porche accessories. Hope that helps. I feel your frustration.

bot my '12 p4s in the spring with the option, but without it functional. Spoke to my dealer today, they claim they are taking delivery of some of the components at this time, but are still waiting on other pieces and will notify owners when the parts for their particular VIN are ready for installation. keep your eyes on your mailbox

so finally after 6 months, the car is getting the backup camera. is anyone else upset with the $500 credit towards their overpriced accessory? if i purchased the car i wouldnt have mind. but i leased my car. ive been paying for an option for 6 months that was not yet installed. and now i get a $500 credit towards more porsche accessories? i feel like its a win win for porsche. i mean why cant it be towards services? that $500 is probably worth $100 from the drivers selections. neither the dealer nor porsche america gives a S$%^ about my concern. they just "understand" my frustration.

Just got mine installed yesterday. SOOOOOO nice to finally have it installed. Would have been nicer if they had it installed when I bought it 7500 miles ago! I just about could drive the thing backwards down the road now, but backing up...what I call "the pig"...was more difficult than I expected at first.
