My M6 invades an AMG meet- PICS!!!-

I was always an AMG owner (since 2001) until about a year ago when I got the M6- I then dumped my 65 and got the 997TT and Benz was no mas. But I rolled with my bros to a Benz only meet on Saturday and my good friend Pyrun (Auktane) snapped these pics without preparation. He has mad skills. The smoke from the fires to the east is clearly defined.

Thats a silver SL55 dropped with Vorsteiner wheels. The wheels are gun metal gray faces with black lips. The car has all the badges blackedout including the gills on the side.

Here are a few pics I found:

I had a W210 E55 (349hp), a heavily modded W211 E55 (500 rwhp), and a Cl65 (557 rwhp).

The M6 is the best of the lot. It may not be as fast in a straightline as the 65 or as brutal from a dig as the 211 E55 but it combines the best of what is good in spirited driving. The brake feel, steering, and chassis response (for a big car) is more response and interactive than the numbness that Benz brings IMHO. The only Benz I really enjoyed driving compared to the M6 is the Black Series. The exhaust note and hi reving engine brings a smile to me daily and its actually as fun if not more than my modded 997TT.

Faster and quicker is not necessarily better. The M6 is plenty of both but its engagement is what makes it shine. The M6 really rocks in the triple digit speedo world too. These are just my thoughts in comparo to the AMG's I have personally owned.

Vic first of all great pics. I totally agree with your description and explanation about the cars.
Overall the M6 stands out. I love this platform of the BMW V10 motor.
I have an M5 and this motor revs like a dentist's drill.
With mods and the ASR Engineering magic the M5 has run an 11.56 sec 1/4 mile and 126 trap.

Your M6 and 997TT are gorgeous cars. The work you've done is exquisite and I fully compliment you.

Cheers,
Ranger

We went home around 530pm and everyone was following their nav so the lines were miles and miles long. We switched off the nav and used the I-Phone and weaved in and out of the residential neighborhoods in Orange Park Acres and Villa Park. We finally found an unblocked road and got to Nohl and then Canyon Rim and home finally. My house was totally safe up the hill but the view was scary crazy in the backyard with flames all along the hills of Yorba and the back side of the 241 toll road. Once I knew my Pcar was safe- we left and hit the bar!!!!!
