that lens must be really fast 'wide open'....... 
i'd like to see the weight savings versus the standard plastic hood.

the hood weighs basically nothing, and so does the carbon version. i fabricated one for myself, but then sprayed it a deep red with some pearl and it is going to get striped next week hopefully if all goes well. i will post some pics after it is done
