PCar Swap Meet - 10/31 - Porsche of North Houston

One thing a number of us have been talking about is the desire to have a local/regional P-car swap meet to hauk our no longer needed parts and kick around stories with other parts collectors, tinkerers, moders, and the like. Wait no longer! I have gotten the go ahead from the LSR PCA board to begin planning a swap this fall, and I have gotten Porsche of North Houston to host the event in their lot out back. Below are main details: What: P-Car Swap Meet When: Saturday, October 31st. ~8am to 2pm (TBD) Where: Porsche of North Houston Some ideas kicking around: - Parking space sized seller areas for @$20 which goes to charity. - Pcar parts, memorabilia, etc only. No wax candles, hippie necklaces or fudge tables that seem to pop up at more regular swaps. - Working with PNH to open their garage, and showroom. Good chance they will have deals on parts, and perhaps a Panamera will be in by then to check out. - Light breakfast of sorts. - Onsite preferred parking for P-cars - Lots more. Ideas welcome. Just wanted to throw word out there so you can spread far and wide. Also lots of advance notice to get up in the attic, and back storage bins and bring out parts and such you no longer need, but others may. New, old, every year inbetween. All P-car items are fair game. If anyone is interested in helping to organize, let me know. We'll definitely need some extra hands to ensure it runs well. Keep posted for updates in the coming weeks. Hope we all chip in to make this great and it turns into a yearly event to look forward to.

The Lone Star Region of the Porsche Club of America is hosting a Swap Meet at Porsche of North Houston, Saturday October 31st, 2009


If you’re seeking an obscure part for your Porsche, this is your best chance to find it in the Greater-Houston area.
Every Porsche packrat and a handful of dealers in a 250-mile radius will be bringing their odds and ends for sale or swap. In addition PNH will have OEM Porsche parts at discounted prices. You’ll see a range of Porsches models and parts rarely seen together!

Event Info:
• Event located in PNH back lot
• General admission is Free
• Gates open to public at 8am & close at 12pm
• On-site Visitor Parking
• Porsche-Only Parking
• Event held rain or shine
• On site food, beverage and clean bathrooms
• ATM within 10min drive
• Unique Porsche Area
• No pets/animals allowed

Swap and Vendor Info:
• Early registration $20/space via PayPal. $30 day of event. No refunds. Proceeds go to PCA-LSR charity
• Space size 10’x 19’ approx. (parking space size)
• Space assigned at time of registration
• If reserving 2 or more spaces choose side to side or end to end
• Confirmation will be e-mailed. Please bring Saturday.
• Gates open to swappers/vendors at 7:00am. Closed at 2pm.
• No Friday early setup
• Small (10’x10’) canopies allowed. No stakes. No large trailers.
• No selling of unofficial Porsche trademarked items (1-off shirts, decals, etc)
• No selling food, No electric hook-ups available
• Organizers have right to refuse sale of any item under concern of safety and legal purpose.
