Don't know if this is the right area on the board to post this, but I am arranging a group buy from Suncoast porsche(a board sponsor)...

If we can get 5 people (we have 2 already) the following are the prices we can get for the ROW M030 suspension for the 996.

99-01' $930.97 + S/H
02-04- $981.71 + S/H

PM me if your interested....

Cheers,
Corey

Besides that the fact X74 is nearly double the price of the ROW 030, it is 30mm lower, about 40mm lower than stock US height, which can be an issue for some people (my self included). Also as I understand it the factory equipped X74 cars have extra re-inforcement. So I don't know if down the road the retro-fit X74 cars won't have rattle problems. I guess you can do strut braces, but you have to add that to your overall cost for the X74 conversion.

While I do like the X74 height, the ROW030 is still 20mm lower in the front than the stock US height in the front and 10mm in the rear. The ROW030 makes the 996 have the proper rake Front to rear, improves handling alot and does not lower it enough that I will scrape my front splitter on my aerokit/GT3 bumper on every driveway and speed bump I encounter.

Cheers,
Corey

jdl175 has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Is this the complete kit?

The complete kit includes -

(4) ROW M030 Shocks
(4) ROW M030 Springs
(1) Front sway bar w/ bushings and drop links
(1) Rear sway bar w/ bushings and drop links
There are also optional bump stops available for the shocks.

That is a great deal for the complete kit. At that price it seems like it would be just the shocks and springs.

This is definately the setup for a street car or daily driver. I ran the M030 on my '03 car and it was a very comfortable compromise between stock and X73.

The PSS9 setup is aggressive even when it is on the highest level setting. we have seen several cars come in our shop for premature shop replacement. There have been some adjustment and some leak problems. Overall, we haven't seen anything major.

The factory X73 package is a blast to drive, but costly at $1995.00 on special. The retail is creepuing up on $3k. Also, it is not adjustable at all and can be jarring on regular roads. This package includes the sway bars and uprated engine mounts.

I would like to hear more feedback on the JIC Cross kit. This is the 14-way adjustable packages which includes camber plates etc. Sounds very interesting to me.

i will say this over and over again: as a previous owner of a RoWM030 setup (Gert, Carnewal), it will not lower the ride height to that of a real "lowered look." if you do not want a "lowered look" this setup is for you. or in other words, if all you're after is oem product that is a bit more taught and slightly lower, the RoW is for you. if you are doing it for cosmetic purposes only, scrap the idea.

regards and best of luck!

I thought it lowered it nicely enough for most people. I'll say though--it did take about a month or so before it had really settled to a good level, and at that point it looked 100 times better than stock ride height.

Optimally, the X74 is probably perfect, but I think the ROW m030's a nice compromise.

if not completely, pretty darn close. You could leave it at the highest height and just adjust the dampening to a more aggressive setting. That's the beauty of the PSS9s.

jdl175,

This is the complete kit according to Suncoast....

Neil.Schneider,

If you set the PSS9 to stock height, you would then want bigger sway bars(like the M030) to offset the fact the PSS9 is set high.

Let's face it for under a grand the ROW M030, is an awesome option, vs. 2000+ not including sway bars for the PSS9 for our lovely NJ roads...

Cheers,
Corey....

How much is shipping & handling? (yes, yes, I know it depends. but are we talking $50, $100, or $200 from Suncoast to West Coast?)

Thanks
