wow. Did not expect that little part to cost over $300.

Thanks for your help!

Well if anyone has a spare, let me know. Any color will do.

I'm not sure if it is the correct part, but if you'd be interested in a carbon one, I may know of a place to get it much cheaper. I sent an email to the seller to confirm (not a sponsor so dont want to post any links)

Or, if you aren't looking for carbon, and this is the same part, I'll sell you mine for the price of the carbon one (it is less than half of the list price of the OEM).

Thanks seattleturbo. I want to wrap it in alcantara and save mine in case I ever want to go back to leather one. That's why the condition/color of one doesn't matter since it will be a donor.

I thought the prices on this little part will be in low double digits but doesn't seem like it. I might as well just use mine as a donor and worry about a replacement part in the future.

Shoot me a PM if you have a price in mind for yours.

keep in mind that anything you have contact with often, will result in funk over time, if it's wrapped in alcantara.

How does 996 552 127 00 differ from 996 552 962 00? I think it is the same part right? Confused why it would have two different part numbers

I just pulled my rear center piece and part number was 996 552 127 00... Strange. But based on various diagrams, it looks like 99655296200 is also valid.

Mine is the same as yours... I have full leather interior option, does yours? The other maybe is for cars not equipped with full leather is my only guess.

Here's the deal. The part number ending in "96200" plus the color code is used for cars built with option code XMZ. The part number ending in "12700" plus color code is used for cars without that option code. For the OP, with your car's VIN, I can tell you whether or not your car is "XMZ" equipped or not. PM if interested.

Interesting, I do have a lot of leather parts.

My car does not have XMZ (Leather centre console), I do have XMJ (Carbon centre console).

Anyways. I found a beat up beige one in UK. Came out to be very cheap even with shipping to Chicago. Seeing how hard and expensive it is to replace this small piece, I'll save mine and use the beige one as a donor for alcantara wrapping.
